Generally a good run through the topic provided a good basic set of information. I also felt, as an employee, the presentation set up asking the right questions of those run the workplace. A couple of minor points (I am also a qualified teacher with 18 years experience and a qualified safety specialist): - The slide 4 of 23 in Risk Assessment is probably not appropriate. If you were doing a risk assessment in a container yard I would expect them to be wearing Hi-Viz as well as boots and helmets. Posed photographs like these can have the effect of undermining the effectiveness of the written message. Apart from that I though the visuals supported the presentation well. I have had previous experience with another provider of their photos actually undermining the message with the course users at a previous employer. - I felt question three in the final assessment could cause confusion. While anyone who has been involved in fire risk assessment is aware escape is the primary driver of the assessment, the answers, I felt, could cause ambiguity. With many thanks malcolm Holmes
