We booked Cow House primarily because of the extra facilities it offered for disabled people. I tracked down the owners before I booked the property and Alison very kindly sent me the Accessibility Guide for the property. The property is assessed under the National Accessibility Scheme and is suitable for guests who depend on the use of a wheelchair. As such, we would recommend it. A few weeks before we were due to go I contacted Alison again to let her know which extra facilities we would need from the comprehensive list she offers, and these were all in place when we arrived. There was a comprehensive “welcome pack” that included some lovely home-made lemon drizzle cake! The property is large, it’s comfortable, well-furnished and kitted out. We found the easy chairs to be a little low for my disabled wife to use and asked Alison if she might be able to provide a riser kit for one of the armchairs. To her great credit she found one which was delivered and fitted in a couple of days. The outside seating and dining area was useful as we were there during the very hot spell in July. Alison is a very good and attentive host and looked after us very well while we were there. She has an eye for detail and kept in regular contact to make sure everything was going well for us. We had an excellent fortnight.
