The soles on the Tourist 11 sandals I bought from your company last month are dangerously slippy and therefore completely unsuitable for elderly people who are at high risk of slips trips and falls at the best of times. I am a very fit and mobile 75 year old and I always take personal responsibility for my safety when out walking. I wore my new sandals for the first time when I was on holiday last week and quickly discovered that the soles had no grip at all. They were very comfortable to wear in every other respect but I didn't feel at all confident in my ability to stay upright in them. I proceeded on my walk with great caution but unfortunately they caused me to slip and fall heavily sustaining injuries to my hip and shoulder. I spent the rest of my holiday in considerable pain hobbling around on 2 sticks. Your design team need to be aware of this problem and I feel I need to alert other vulnerable people about the danger of wearing your shoes. I spoke to a very pleasant and sympathetic person in your Customer Services department earlier today who said she would pass my comments on to you. However, in reply to my question she said I would be unlikely to have any acknowledgment of my complaint from your department unless I contacted you myself. I would really appreciate a reply to this email.
