Terrible customer service once again. I have had various problems with Deliveroo previously, however, when I tried to place an order last week, the app said that the payment failed. I tried again. Payment failed. I tried for a third time using a different account.Payment failed. I then checked my account (I was in sufficient funds of course) and there were three payments pending for Deliveroo. Reported to in-app customer service, and they said that I would have to wait for an email from a different department as they only dealt with live orders. The email came through 24 hours later. They could not explain why their app failed, or why they took multiple payments. They advised that these were only pending and would "drop off" my account within 72 hours. They actually took almost a week to disappear. They emailed me further saying that they had now suspended my account, and in order to reactivate it I would have to provide photographic proof of ID and proof of address. I responded saying that I will no longer use their app or their dreadful service again.
