Worst delivery company. Order through them app few times. Once order came completely wrong and other time order delivered to unknown to me address. Please AVOID this company switch to something better “uber” for example, never had a fault with them

I placed a large order with Deliveroo for a special occasion. The food arrived cold and inedible, and after raising a complaint, I was promised in writing that the pending payment would not be taken. Despite this, Deliveroo still charged me in full. For almost a month I’ve been chasing them for a refund. All I’ve had are copy-paste replies, repeated “5–7 day” promises, and no accountability — even after I provided proof of what their own staff told me. Deliveroo have ignored my evidence and brushed me off at every stage. At this point I’ve had no choice but to escalate my complaint formally through Resolver, as Deliveroo has lied and failed to resolve the issue. This isn’t just poor service — it’s dishonest. I was left out of pocket for an expensive order and treated like my complaint didn’t matter. I won’t ever use Deliveroo again, and I’d strongly warn others to be cautious.

Grabbing money with any excuse.... Like most of the other food delivery services, all they do is inflate the price, then add a service charge, then a delivery charge, and then a PRIORITY delivery charge. Today I ordered food - as the delivery time was showing as 45 minutes and I was in a hurry, I paid the 'priority delivery charge', and guess what - the food was delivered after three quarters of an hour!! I asked customer services for a refund of the priority charge, and of course they won't - because according to them the food was delivered on time!! Well done Deliveroo, you lost one more customer.

Absolute joke of a company. Placed an order with a 20 minute delivery time. After telling me the rider was at the restaurant FIVE times over the space of 2 hours the order was never picked up and had to be cancelled. I spend thousands every year on deliveroo every year and have done for a long time. My partner had to go out for the evening without eating because of this and they think £15 compensation is suitable. You can't even buy a McDonalds for £15 on deliveroo these days. Joke of a company and certainly won't be getting anymore custom from me going forward.

I really enjoy the food from Shah’s, but Deliveroo as a company has been consistently disappointing. A simple issue with a missing/wrong drink turned into a long and frustrating back-and-forth with support. Instead of resolving things fairly, the agents stuck to scripts, passed me around, and made me feel like they just didn’t care. Deliveroo’s customer service seems more interested in protecting their refund limits than actually helping customers. It shouldn’t be this hard to get a small mistake fixed. I’ll keep supporting the restaurants I like, but Deliveroo as a delivery platform is unreliable. If you value good customer service, think twice before using them.

"Deliveroo's official stance is that they support their disabled and neurodiverse employees by amplifying their voices to advocate for necessary adjustments and policies" Yeah this is actually a bare face lie. Deliveroo actually does discriminate against those with disabilities such as their riders and the riders substitute. My brother's substitute recently got his account terminated since he wasn't able deliver his orders in "reasonable time" they actually don't state what is considered "reasonable time" originally they had 2 delivery maximum. They recently introduced 3 delivery drop off. As a result my brother's substitute who suffers with disabilities with Autism, Dyslexic and anxiety was penalised by this evil company. My brother literally told them in an email that the substitute suffers from all this. They literally ignored that email. They sent warnings and we told them. You can't expect him to kill himself on the road taking dangerous chances on a motor vehicle and push his anxiety through the roof. They terminated his account and he was in tears to the handler (my brother) So if you think they don't discriminate. They most certainly lying to you. We have not heard back from them regarding the appeal. I'm currently looking to join GMB now because I'm afraid of what they'll do to me. I mean I got a disability. I suffer with shortness of breath, osteoarthritis in both fit that my motorcycle was adapted for it. I suffer with arthritis in my fingers. I suffer from anxiety and other mental impairment. I'm scared to have my account terminated because of my disability. It's disgrace how they treat us, especially the unfortunate who they claim are accepted.

They have deteriorated in the recent past. Ordered 15 items from Morrison of which only 5 were there and I asked to cancel the entire order as I did not want to pay 5.68£ for 5 items. The agent called Carl was unreasonable, rude and when I said I have been a customer for several years, he had the audacity to say that he was sad to see me go. These guys need some serious lessons on customer service as they seem ill trained and on top arrogant! Carl was atleast!

Don’t use this delivery service. If they don’t deliver your food, they won’t give you a refund and you’ll pay for nothing. Height of cynical capitalism. ‘Sorry we have reviewed your complaint and cannot offer any compensation’. No explanation, despite the photos that I sent in. I’m not even asking for compensation I’m just asking not to pay for something I didn’t receive! Delete deleted their app.

Rated 1 out of 5 stars If was a zero I would. If was a zero I would.. missing items confirmed by driver and photo .. total £4.50 and refunded £2.10 .. not the first time this has happened.. someone’s making money off this scam .. customer service is worst ever known .. account deleted and I recommend avoid as it’s legalised theft

Awful company over 3hrs and didn't turn up with my food. After arguing I was told i can't cancel the order even though I said i didn't want no more! The driver then turns up demanding a code so he can get paid!! Say well away. Happy to take the money but give you nothing

deliveroo supposed deliver our burger king order 2 miles from burgerking BUT they had another customers order to deliver on route to us ,BUT that customer was 3 miles away ,deliverer had no storage box ,FOOD STONE COLD when delivered ,cost £18,deliveroo refunded £4.50, be warned we will never use deliveroo again ,you need to know this before ordering from deliveroo.

Absolutely disgraceful service. I placed an order and never received the food, yet Deliveroo Ireland still refused to issue a refund. After I gave the code to the driver, he said that he gave the food by mistake to another person. I said, "Well, now you should tell Deliveroo that you did not finalize the delivery." However, he put the code in and finalized it anyway. When I asked for a refund, they tried to contact him, and he refused to answer, so I got no refund and no food. They just don't care about real customers and let us get scammed by drivers. Totally unreliable company with ridiculous customer service and customer retention system. No explanation, no help, just automated replies and complete silence from customer service. They’ve taken my money and delivered nothing — literally. It feels like a scam at this point. I will never use this app again and would strongly advise others to stay far away. Total joke of a company.

My order was picked up and then the driver picked up another order and delivered that firstly by the time I received my order it was cold complained and got told they’re applying for partial refund when all the food was binned and went elsewhere for delivery will never use Deliveroo again totally spoiled a birthday treat

Driver came to my house asked for the code then told me that I needed to call the restaurant because he didn’t have my food. 2nd time they were out of items. I reported this to Deliveroo and they said the order was delivered despite me sharing doorcam footage of the driver telling me it wasn’t. I will never use these companies again. Back to cash on delivery

Quick backstory: Ordered a meal through the app. Meal arrived but the the bag the drink was in was torn and was leaking. The drink itself had leaked almost halfway out. I immediately took the ruined bag/drink to a nearby dumpster and threw it away. I was staying at a hotel so I did not want to bring a leaking bag through the lobby, elevator, hallway, or my room. After getting to my room I tried to report the issue through the app and was able to do this, however, when I was asked to provide photo evidence I wasn't able to (because I had already thrown it away). I provided a picture of the receipt that was on the good bag and uploaded it. All I requested was a refund for the drink. After a total of 10 emails back and forth with 4 different customer service reps, I was treated with a "we're sorry, but because you can't provide a photo we are unable to process your claim." I was asking for a refund of £2.59 and they would not give it to me without photographic proof. I was not about to go dumpster diving. So I told them I would initiate a charge back through my credit card, post negative reviews, and never use the app again. Well I guess it's obvious how this conversation went. Michelle, Kimberlyjoyce, Clarinelle Grace, and Ralph were all unhelpful and unwilling to help out a customer. Terrible customer service. Terrible company. Terrible business. I told them that I would have been happy with a refund and a reminder to take pictures of any issues should I have them in the future. That would have been totally acceptable. But apparently -- to Deliveroo, losing a customer and having to refund them anyways -- via charge back, was more important.
