In April I had trialled the Deliveroo plus, however, due to being furloughed during lockdown I had cancelled this subscription and my last order with them was on the 29th April.
However, I recently started to get emails about not paying my Deliveroo plus and to set this up. Knowing I had cancelled and not used them for ANY takeaways for now 4 months, I had assumed this was a scam. However, after the 3rd email, I checked my account I use for these types of things, seeing they had tried to take the money out 6+ times over 2 months. This now also explains why the last 2 months my credit rating had been dropping!
I went onto the app to check what was happening and there it says, I do not have a Delieroo Plus account.
So, I sent a nice email explaining this and the trouble they have caused me. Asking for the 2 unauthorised payments to be reimbursed. Only to be sent the most unempathetic email back just stating I'm outside of the 14 days cooling-off period and they would not do this.
No acknowledgement, apology or even to try and give an also unacceptable voucher code. NOTHING. just dismissed, as if I have the funds to go around paying £11.49 per month for things and NEVER using it!
I'm so shocked and appalled - I and my household will no longer use this service and I suggest you do the same.
