I recently visited the Huckberry store based on a recommendation from my girlfriend, who is a manager at a nearby store on Wisconsin Avenue in Georgetown. We walked over during her break, as she had mentioned the store was new and featured a bar. I was eager to experience it, especially given her positive remarks about the new store manager. Upon entering the store, my girlfriend introduced herself to a sales associate at the main bar/cash wrap area, mentioning her role as a manager across the street. Unfortunately, the associate responded indifferently, quickly returning to her phone. As we continued further into the store, my girlfriend attempted to provide me with information about the layout; however, it was evident that none of the staff members were actively engaging with us. We then observed an associate in the back who was focused on folding clothing for a customer. Although he briefly acknowledged us with a greeting, he did not engage further, choosing instead to assist his customer without inquiring if we needed assistance. I found the store's aesthetic appealing, as it resonates with my interests, particularly in bourbon, and I appreciated the quality of the clothing. However, the lack of staff engagement significantly impacted my overall experience. Regrettably, I do not plan to return to the store, as the atmosphere did not foster a welcoming or responsive environment. Sincerely, Derrick L. Penny
