I did not realise that the shade was self-assembly, my partner has been trying to put it together since it arrived (he is normally good at this sort of thing.)
Once you slide one piece in, the other comes out, he thinks that the grooves are too short to hold the panels, also the panel shapes are not quite right, as they don't stay curved as in the photo.
It would be an attractive shade if we can ever get it assembled!
