I first started at kickboxing in March of 2017! I was kind of skeptical because it was really my husband who wanted to do this and I didn't think I could because of being overweight and some back and knee problems! Hubby and I signed up for the web special and with some modifications I made it through my first class! we didn't sign up to be a member right away as we wanted to see if it was in our budget! After going home and talking about it I really didn't have anything to loose (besides fat) and really needed that push to get this weight off! We have been trying to go 3 times a week and sometimes when my schedule allows I go in the morning and then come back in the pm with him! It is still hard for me but I have noticed my body is changing! I have gone down from a 24 pant to an 18. I have lost 2 cup size in my bra and 2 band sizes and ,y 3-4x shirts are getting big on me and I have fit into some 2x shirts! I have lost 31lbs since going there and I was even off 6+ weeks after having a minor surgery! Every time I go in I am greeted by my name and asked how are you today! Everyone is super friendly and there is no judgment there. No one looks at me funny because I cant do burpee's yet. Everyone there (members and staff) are very supportive and encourage you! I have never in my entire life signed up for a gym membership and I chose ILKB because of the guidance, encouragement, support, friendships, and family like atmosphere there!
