Despite only two-out-of-three living room windows being covered with Indow inserts (the third window's sill depth was too shallow), street traffic is notably muffled and the room is much quieter. The inserts were placed in front of two single-pane aluminum-framed windows while the third window, with its original wood frame, affords better soundproofing. I wasn't sure this partial solution was going to work but I am pleased that it did.
