I live close (about 0.4 miles) from a busy street where illegal and very loud street racing happens in weekends, at night. My house is on top of a hill and there isn't much in the way to block the noise. I got the noise reduction window insert and it does reduce the noise by a lot (maybe 80-90% noise reduction). I was a little worried about the entire measuring and fit process, but actually it went pretty smooth. I measured the window myself with a measuring tape and the insert fits very well. I highly recommend the insert.
