I live in a condo in a city by a very busy highway with my bedroom windows facing the highway. The indow inserts did not help with the trucks and motorcycle sounds during the middle of the night, and moderately reduced the white noise of the regular traffic. The indow inserts did not make much difference for my windows living right next to the highway with inconsistent traffic throughout the night. My neighbor below went with the more expensive lamented glass, and had much more success with noise reduction.
