We have a large sunroom with many windows and the inserts look amazing (you can barely see them) and they help so much with temperature. This was the main reason we needed them. The original windows are 90yo casements, single pane and despite having 2 huge radiators in that room, it was freezing in the winter. It made a difference immediately. It was well worth the expense, and far less expensive than new all wood replicas.
