It is an interesting exercise critiquing a critique, but I shall try!
Full marks for the turnaround (sent in half the agreed turnaround time), and for no. of pgs, in excess of the agreed amount. The tone was exactly right - balanced and direct without becoming discouraging or scathing. There were a few occasions where I felt some of the peripheral conclusions were slightly hasty, but the main meat of the feedback was very useful, especially when talking about the structure and the protagonist's journey.
What I thought was stand out was that the reviewer seemed to really care about this project, despite having read tons of script before (I would imagine) which is why I gave full marks in the end.
Lots for me to go away and think about, but I feel that the report is a strong tool to develop the script, and I am encouraged to send in another draft based at least in part on the reader's recommendations, and to do likewise with my other scripts and I would recommend this service. This was the first report on my first screenplay, which is always going to be a baptism of fire in some sense, but if anyone is on the fence about using a script feedback service, I would say take the plunge and do it (with a reputable and established company whose reviews you can read) - you'll be surprised how it will help you to look at your work with fresh eyes.
