So far so good. The printer (HP LaserJet 4250) at first acted as though it would not accept the foreign printer cartridge, but after sending a number of alert messages, it then printed in the normal way, and seems to have accepted the newcomer. At a price 1/4 of what the original would cost, it seems the obvious decision.
