I've worn Insect Shield clothing in the garden for several years. In that time, it has provided excellent protection against mosquitoes and ticks. I will say that I did have a tick crawling on a pair of Insect Shield pants one time that did not seem perturbed by the Insect Shield treatment -- but perhaps it would have been incapacitated from biting me if I had not removed it and sprayed it with a pesticide? I didn't wait to find out. Generally, however, I find that Insect Shield + picaridin-based insect repellent gives very good protection from biting insects.
