I highly recommend the Downton Abbey tour, especially for fans of the show. Highclere Castle is beautiful, and it is furnished almost exactly as it was portrayed in the series. The photographs displayed on easels around the rooms showed us characters getting ready for filming in each of the rooms, and we could easily connect our favorite scenes with what was in front of us. I also enjoyed visiting Bampton (the village of Downton in the series) and the real farm that was the home of the farmer and his wife who looked after Marigold. Our guide was superb: well informed, funny and possibly the biggest fan of us all!
