With improvement in mind, I can only recommend to let people know that they may want warner clothing in the Edinburgh. Even though we could look up the weather forecast before our trip, the winds made a big difference in how cold it felt. Plus the Loch Ness and Highlands were significantly cooler in temperature than Edinburgh. Thankfully, there were many places we could purchase scarves and hats.\n\n***, the tour guide, was absolutely wonderful! His historical knowledge and wit made the tour very informative and entertaining. He went above and beyond expectations with his patience with all of the guests. There was a family who was late and missed the train out of London. As a result, they missed the 2-hour bus tour around Edinburgh. That evening, *** gave them a special walking tour of the area (also open to anyone else who wanted to participate). We joined that walking tour and thoroughly enjoyed it.\n\n***, our Scottish bus driver, was fantastic! His driving skills are amazing. He drove the coach through hills and turns and kept us entertained with the history of the area, all at the same time. \n\n*** and *** really made the trip fantastic! Thank you for such a wonderful tour! I would definitely recommend this tour.\n\nBelow is the review I left on ***:\n\nMy friend and I decided to book a girls weekend trip to Edinburgh, with the added day trip to Loch Ness and the Highlands. What an amazing weekend! *** was our fantastic tour guide. Once on the train, he made sure that everyone had his phone number and the 3-day itinerary. Once on the tour bus in Edinburgh, *** gave a wonderful history of all of the buildings, monuments, and points of interest. He is so knowledgeable that we were not at all surprised to find out that his college degree is in history! After a 2-hour bus tour of Edinburgh highlights, we checked into our guest house and had several hours free to roam Edinburgh on our own. \n\nThe Loch Ness and Highlands day trip was wonderful! ***, our Scottish bus driver, kept us entertained and laughing as he told us about all of the sites we passed and the places we would stop. \n\nOn the 3rd day, we had the entire morning to tour more on our own or meet up with the group. *** took us up to Calton Hill and told us some very interesting history, then we were able to photograph breathtaking views of the city and the North Sea. We also opted to tour Edinburgh Castle, which I highly recommend. \n\nFor anyone wanting a special family crest (for any last name, not just Scottish), the Tartan Weaving Mill is located right next to the entrance to Edinburgh Castle. \n\nThe temperatures in Edinburgh get rather chilly, so be sure to check the weather forecast before you pack. \n\nWe very much enjoyed our weekend trip with International Friends. I highly recommend this tour!
