I've booked the Interparcel service delivered by UPS several times now without mishap. If you book it the night before you can choose a morning or afternoon collection time (others are any time from 9am to 7pm) so you don't have to stay in all day. When the driver was 5 mins late one time I called up Interparcel and was told that it wasn't a guaranteed collection time, but the driver turned up as I put the phone down. I got to speak to helpful person within a few rings though which was impressive.
