I was really disappointed that I received no email confirmation following the placement of my order. This is standard practice and I have never not received this when I have ordered anything online. Particularly as it’s a gift I would like to receive this confirmation, outlining the billing address, delivery address, expected first date of delivery etc.
Also, there was no explanation as to why I was purchasing an annual subscription, but only receiving 10 issues. I would have thought an annual subscription would involve 12 issues?!
Also there was no confirmation of what month/issue the first delivery would be and what that last issue delivered would be – I would expect this to be something in the confirmation email. Therefore I have no idea when my sister will receive her gift. I would expect at a minimum clear guidelines around the delivery of the magazine such as you will generally receive this before it goes on sale in the shop, or same day, or 5 days after it goes on sale etc. I would hate to think that my sister will go and purchase a copy in the store and then have the same copy delivered a few days later. As there was no clear guidelines around delivery this may well happen!
Overall, I’m quite disappointed and I won’t be using the service again. Everything about the process, payment, number of issues, delivery etc. is far too vague. Seems to be a lack of appreciation for the customer.
