The polyester velvet material was delivered in a very robust tube and in good condition.
However, it's use in recovering an armchair proved problematic. Compared with the cotton velvet it replaced it was very difficult to handle being very soft and slippery. Neat folds were difficult to achieve and the slightest unevenness of any wadding showed through. I should have asked for a sample first - maybe a lesson learnt.
Having said that the finished chair will hopefully keep its looks for a long time. The attached photo was taken prior to braid trimming.
