I wish to warn people about Jaycar's Powertech Solar Charge Controllers. There are no warnings that these are what is called Common Positive. If you ground the negative of your solar panel, it will destroy tour expensive deep cycle batteries. Look for a controller which states "Common Negative" if you need to connect the solar panel to the battery negative directly.
