I have 35 years in the motor industry manufactures side and retail. This was the worst example of customer rip off attempt, no wonder the group have lost a number of prestige franchises. Fact 3 year old VW T6.1, was a pre reg so 2.5 years of use. 17800 miles and been serviced by same dealer as part of a service plan from new. Red work identified £721.72, amber work identified £232.80. Total £954.52 plus vat. Advised would have failed mot on slight cut in front tyre, very dubious fail. However I swallowed and paid for two new front tyres. So let’s go back to red work, supposed safety critical work needs doing NOW. Air conditioning service required £149, safety critical? Brake fluid service required £80 ( less than £18k miles at less than 3 years?) rear brake discs lipped £492.72 ( less than 18k miles and amazingly the pads are ok? This does not only smack of amber work being converted to red work, it is dishonest and they know full well it is dishonest. Jack Tordoff would be ashamed to read this, they were once an honest business…. Not anymore. Avoid them
