We were regular users of the 'Jones' services under the previous ownership. And would have continued to be a client, but the method of spectacle selection is not to my 'taste'. When I go to buy a suit, shirt, shoes etc I browse the racks and shelves and make, what is often, an impulse buy due to being attracted to an item.
I don't go to stores where the goods are hidden away and only extracted for view after an explanation of what I require is given to the salesperson - it negates the impulse buy emotion, and I often don't know exactly what I want. My first experience of coming into your store and attempting to open a drawer to peruse the goods was to be told "that's not how we operate". I'm sure you're very successful in your mode of operation - and truly I wish you well. Over the last several years my wife and I have bought frames - on impulse having seen them in opticians windows - in Madrid, Berlin, Paris and Sienna. You may have had some of these frames, but unless we can browse we will never know.
