Appalling customer complaints service. Tried to cancel order by phoning restaurant 13 minutes before food was prepared. No answer. Tried again 5 times over next few minutes. No answer.
Live chatted with Just Eat to cancel, they said I have to pay full price because food already prepared. I explain that I've tried calling the restaurant and they could have cancelled it if they answered the phone.
Had email from customer complaints team saying no refund. I asked them why they haven't taken into account that the restaurant could have cancelled if they answered the phone. They reply without answering the question that I'm not getting any refund. I even offered to pay a small compensation to the restaurant, even though I felt that they could have avoided this. Same result 3 or 4 times. Email back with no explanation into why they didn't take that into account.
I don't even care about the £14 refund. I would have used it to buy stuff for food banks.
Decision not to give me my £14 or even less has cost them at least £250 per year from me
