The waist band rolls down. I am a slightly pot bellied person like your larger model. The fit overall is right however when moving the waist band rolls down and then slides down so constantly tugging them up. I think for women they call this a the muffin effect. I think I will take them to a tailor and see if they can add a drawstring. I like the fabric and the designs. If they had a much wider waistband with higher tension then the rest of the material they might have been all right.
