I'm feeling a bit railroaded into the recent change from the original devices to the newer GKI model and test strips. I had an original non-bluetooth device earlier in the year and purchased the bluetooth adapter for it. Then felt that a newer technology would be better based on understanding that the device I had was much older, so purchased the bluetooth model. Now, a few months later, the ketone and glucose strips were suddenly discontinued from Amazon where I was getting them from. The App started showing "an exclusive offer" for a new GKI device that turns out to not be exclusive at all. All the marketing and keto-mojo ordering is pointing to the new device. All the ways I was purchasing supplies stopped and were changed for only the new device. I'm still working through the last of my old supplies (though I will have an unused glucose test strip container based on timing of orders that I can't get a refund on). Maybe this new device and supplies are better but I felt like I never had a reasonable choice without starting over entirely and was manipulated into this new direction. Will it happen again next year? There are a lot of reviews about the stability and reliability of this company, but I'm feeling taken advantage of. When will the costs of these supplies start increasing? When will I be pushed into a new device again? Yeah, a mix of my own process and choices along with marketing and supply chain control, but it's left a bad taste in my mouth.
