I wrote to customer service about a vinyl inner sleeve that came damaged (bent and with holes, the paper starting to unstick from itself) and, while I appreciate the 48hrs or less response, they essentially said “sorry can’t do anything about it because it’s cosmetic” when all I’d need is a new inner sleeve. I don’t need a whole new record, I just need a new inner sleeve. I’ve spoken to other fans who purchased the same record and they had similar issues with not only the product but the company refusing to do anything about a damaged product—a product mind you that isn’t just a vinyl, it’s a sleeve with art that I doubt the artist intended to have arrive or packed damaged. To me, it would be like purchasing a shirt that ended up having bleach stains across it and the company refusing to let you exchange it because it’s “cosmetic”. I’m a record collector and this really sucks. Avoid Kings Road Merch if you care about the condition of the product you’re purchasing.
