November 2024: I was charged $16.95 for Lakeside Perks membership that I did not ask for. When I called, the agent informed me that I had "accepted" membership with my last order. [she could not tell me if there was an auto checkmark for membership when I ordered... if there was I did not see it] Agent told me there was an email sent informing me of my membership "acceptance" and that I had 7 days to cancel. Since I did not request cancellation (of a membership that I did not want) the auto renewal hit my credit card. Agent would not reverse the charge because I "accepted" the membership. I do not recall seeing any membership item on my order page and nothing appears on my order confirmation. In my opinion this was a "trick" to make you a member without your knowledge. This is all BS... Don't work with Lakeside.
