I ignored the negative reviews on Trustpilot because, overall, Laptops Direct had a 'Great' 4-star rating. After my experience dealing with them, however, I have reason to believe that the positive reviews on Trustpilot are fake (written by the company employees) in an attempt to cancel out the sheer volume of complaints. I have actually reported Laptops Direct to Trading Standards because of how badly they've handled my order. They took my money immediately and then just kept failing to dispatch the item. I was told time and time again (when I complained to customer services) that the phone had been dispatched and that I would be receiving it 'the following day'. Two weeks and four complaints later, they told me the phone was out of stock (the same day they'd told me for the fourth time, that they were sending another one out to me). The LaptopsDirect website, however, says that the phone is not out of stock! It says that the item is very much IN STOCK. So either their customer service team is misleading people or their website is. One thing is for sure, whoever next buys the phone is going to have the same two week experience I have had! When I questioned customer service about the contradicting stock information, they ignored me. They offered nothing more than their generic apologies for any inconvenience caused. I have finally given up with them and requested a full refund. Whether I get one or not, still remains to be seen. The only thing I know for certain about Laptops Direct is that they cannot refund my time. I strongly advise buyers to shop elsewhere. It won't end well. I ended up buying my new phone from Carphone Warehouse (for the exact same price). It arrived the next day for free and I am writing this review on it.
