So. I bought some wellies to replace a failing old pair (that were 7 years old) and the new ones had a problem. The thumb loop - to pull them on - snapped. Having googled, I read a few posts online about some bad experiences with Chameau’s customer service, so I left a poor review about how they had broken and I couldn’t be bothered to get them repaired. Then, I got a call from their customer services department who sorted a return for me and I now have a fully functioning pair back. I now feel it’s only fair to update this as I have been impressed by their pro-activity and while I already love their wellies, my disappointment in the breakage has been placated by a speedy replacement. They shouldn’t have broken in the first place but I have been very impressed with the speed and effectiveness of the team at Chameau in sorting my replacement. The wellies themselves are great - I love the ‘tractor tread’!
