Purchased a reclining sofa from them just under 1 year ago, as well as the 3 year extended warranty. We did not realize that the 3 year extended warranty did not cover mechanical issues and there was no indication from the sales staff that it was not covered, the impression was that it just extended the regular warranty issues. The sales staff was nice to deal with when purchasing, I am not saying they did this deliberately or anything everyone makes mistakes.
When I called to see if it was possible to extend the warranty (yes offered to pay more) since we were not informed at the time of purchase they said there was nothing they could do.
While I understand part of this is my fault for not reading the material fully, anyone in sales should fully inform customers if their extended warranty does not cover something of the product they are purchasing. We only discovered it because there was a mechanical issue (line / cable from the release to make it recline broke on one side) but thankfully it was under the manufacture's warranty.
The fix under the warranty was resolved in a timely manner but do feel cheated out of an extended warranty that doesn't cover the parts we were most worried about breaking.
