There are several things, but the icing on the cake was my appointment was for tomorrow and they called me today and insisted on a credit card on file. I explained to them I do not put my banking information out there and they said I needed to cancel my appointment. I offered to give them a check for the expected deductible and they said they can take it but they also said they will use it for reoccurring billing.They said it was a Lincares policy. I asked for the corporate phone number but they only gave me the complaint department. I went online to see Lincare policies regarding keeping your credit card file on file and it was not listed anywhere. What I did find online was the terrible reviews that Lincare has received regarding customer service and their billing department. They make customers wait a month for an appointment and then the day before an appointment insist on a credit card payment instead of telling us that upfront. I called another Durable medical equipment place who absolutely does not take credit cards on file and was happy to see me within a week.
