I booked a trip to Disneyland Paris through Loveholidays a few days ago. I INSTANTLY received 2 emails - one to confirm that I'd made the booking and a 2nd to say that I had a message from them. Upon logging in to the account I could see that they'd sent me a message to say that an element of my trip couldn't be booked & someone would be in touch within 72 hours with a solution.
The following day I read that Flybe was in trouble and as one of our flights was with them I thought I'd cancel the booking altogether & re-book with Air France flights. But it turns out you've more chance getting in touch with your dead grandma than Loveholidays.
They suggest their livechat is the quickest way & given they see themselves as a "tech company operating in the travel sector" (their words) you'd expect that to be the case. Unfortunately there's been "no-one available to chat" for each of the 9 times that I've visited their livechat page.
They also gave a phone number & I'm currently 36 minutes into their listening to their hold music (currently One Direction so I'm getting even more annoyed!) with no answer from anyone, I tried to no avail for 20 minutes too.
So as I can't speak with anyone I thought I'd just cancel the booking online. I pressed "cancel booking" and I received a note before I confirmed to say that as the trip was due to depart within the next 28 days (it's not we're due to fly out in May, I'm pretty sure it's still January) that I wouldn't be eligible for a refund - AT ALL!
So essentially they've taken my money, they probably haven't booked anything yet they wouldn't give me anything back if I automatically cancelled and I can't get hold of anyone at all to cancel it on my behalf/get an explanation.
Save yourself the trouble & avoid these guys like the plague, they truly are shocking. If anyone does happen to work at Loveholidays and sees this post, please give me a call ASAP as I'd like my money back.
