Changed my hotel 5 days before our flight despite my having confirmation and having paid outstanding amount several weeks prior. Was meant to be a family reunion, other family members booked direct through TUI, they had no problem with their booking...offered hotel in exchange driving distance away. Not acceptable.

This company and it's partners are full of scams, better stay away from this company, they do have a lot of hidden cost, in their hotel, in the flight the book flight with, and the ground transport. If you book with them by thinking it's cheap you will end up with spending more than normal expenses as the do a lot scam

Love holidays refused to admit using them the first time but said the second time so be careful Biggest load off rip-off merchants going. We booked a trip from Hurghada to Cairo by air. Given days on the information leaflet was Tuesday or Wednesday. We requested to book Wednesday as we were going home on Friday and wanted a restful day before flying home. The representative Osama said it was now booked to which we paid €500. On the Tuesday evening he messaged us and said we would be picked up at 4.30amThursday! We reluctantly agreed. He then got in touch Wednesday evening to say he had booked the flight and we were going to be picked up at 2.30am in the morning. We disagreed as it was too early and the idea of flying was so we didn’t have to get up to early ,so less travel and shorter day. It would mean leaving the hotel At 2.30am and get back at around 10.00pm. We could go by bus quicker. We asked for our money back but he refused. A lot of arguments followed so he said we could have €248. We accepted it as there was no changing his mind. When he turned up my partner had to sign a piece of paper to say we were ill so he had turned it round so it was our fault. Will never use them again and advise people not to as well. Dave Gardiner

One-Star Review for Love Holidays I am beyond disappointed with Love Holidays’ unprofessionalism and lack of customer care. Despite making over ten requests for a call back, nobody ever called me. They don’t help at all, no matter how many times you try to reach out. During my holiday—one of the worst experiences ever—they failed to answer any calls, closed all open tickets without addressing a single concern, and left me to deal with the mess on my own. The hotel was a disaster: the facilities were in disrepair, and the staff were not only unhelpful but blatantly sexist. To make matters worse, even after filing a formal complaint, they still haven’t resolved anything. Their complete disregard for customer issues and refusal to take responsibility is unacceptable. This company is utterly unprofessional, unresponsive, and has no intention of helping its customers. Avoid them at all costs!

Stay right clear of Loveholidays! We had booked a holiday for this Christmas in New York, well in advance! However, we quickly found out that we wouldn’t be able to make the trip, as my wife couldn’t get her visa in time. I called these guys and told them about our situation- and they suggest we find an alternative location, so we did. We chose Punta Cana. (we also tried to postpone the trip for Chrismas next year, but holidays can only be booked 10 months in advance). Days goes by and I hear nothing back from their “ amendments team” and I call them again. Within an hour I received a “new holiday” with our new chosen destination. And here’s the kicker - with stopover in New York! (The must be having a laugh) I email the guy back and once again tell about my wife’s visa issue - and he writes back saying, it’s the first time he hears of it!!! (I do ask if their phone calls are not recorded? No reply) Then he sends some destinations I can choose from with United Airlines, majority of those doesn’t fly on our given days or I could choose a flight to Australia or New Zealand and put my 5 year old on a 36 hour travel hell all for a 6 nights holiday - no thank you. He then sends another holiday option - we just have to pay a substantial amount extra - nearly £3000 on top, errmm no thank you! I then tell Loveholidays to cancel our trip altogether, as this doesn't make financial sense whatsoever. They then ask for almost £1900 as our flights are "non-refundable" I then write them again - and says: are you telling me, that United Airlines can't resell our tickets, this well in advance - at this point there's more than a month to our travel date. Again no reply! Few days go by, still no word from Loveholidays. I then call United Airlines (quite costly phone call) their representative tells me that the tickets can be cancelled and refunded, but only by Loveholidays. We then get patched through to Loveholidays and gets told, that the tickets can't be refunded, as they are booked through a third party - I ask if I can get the name of this third party and some contact details, so I can explain our situation myself and why we unfortunately, couldn't go on our trip. He tells me, that he can't give me those informations! Nor is he willing to contact them to cancel our flights. I then call United Airlines again and they confirm that it is in fact Loveholidays who booked the flights and they alone can cancel our tickets - no third party etc. She also tells me, if needed I can get a transcript of our conversation - as this can serve as proof that the representatives from Loveholidays are lying and just wants to collect money from flights, if you all the sudden can't travel. Luckily enough, we didn't pay for the entire holiday upfront, but only a smaller deposit - Loveholidays are currently franticly trying to get more money withdrawn from my account, which I have blocked. I’m not supporting thieves. I will definitely NOT be using their ‘services” ever again.

Whilst we had a great experience in New York it was let down but love holidays staff incompetence. We paid quite a bit for private transfers which from jfk to our hotel was the wrong hotel. So we paid the driver extra to take us to our correct hotel. We contacted love holidays the following morning to make them aware and make sure we were picked up from the correct hotel on the return journey. After speaking with a rep we were arrived it was all sorted and to enjoy our holiday which we did. 2 days before departure we received our travel details and it’s the wrong hotel again. Yet again I had to contact the taxi company to make sure they picked us up from the correct hotel. The company talixo were great. Just a big let down by love holidays having to sort thing myself while on holiday. The correct hotel was on all our booking documents so how they managed to mess it up both ways is beyond me. I’ll spend my money elsewhere where in the future.

recently booked a trip to Portugal through Loveholidays, scheduled to depart on April 7, 2025. The initial booking cost was £1540.75. However, due to unforeseen work commitments, I needed to change the dates just two days after making the booking. I requested new dates from March 24 to March 28, 2025. A week later, I received an email with a new quote, but to my surprise, it was for a completely different destination—Athens—and the cost had skyrocketed to £3522.00. This was a staggering 128.59% increase from my original booking. I immediately contacted customer service to understand why my trip had been changed to Athens and why the cost had increased so dramatically. The customer service representative was unhelpful and insisted that I would be liable for a cancellation fee of £1024.59 if I chose to cancel the trip. I requested a refund of my £58 deposit and the cancellation of the entire trip, but they refused. I informed them that I would report the issue to the ABTA ombudsman. In my opinion, everyone should stay away from this company. They are running a scam, ripping customers off by charging exorbitant prices for trips that should cost significantly less. My experience has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. Please avoid these scammers at all costs.

**Avoid Love Holidays – Misleading, Unprofessional, and Stressful** I recently booked a holiday through Love Holidays to stay at *Constantinos the Great* in Protaras, and the experience was an absolute disaster. The hotel was nothing like what was advertised, and Love Holidays' customer service only made things worse. Here’s what happened: 1. **Filthy Accommodation**: The room I was given was disgusting – dirty floors, stained bedsheets, and a bathroom that was clearly not cleaned. Despite complaining immediately, I was forced to stay in these conditions overnight as no action was taken until the next day. 2. **Rude Hotel Management**: After posting an honest review on TripAdvisor, the hotel manager called me to the reception, not to resolve the issue but to rudely demand that I delete my review. On top of that, they charged me €30 to "clean" the room – which should have been clean to begin with. 3. **Misleading Booking Information**: My booking promised a choice between land and sea view, but at the hotel, I was told it was for sea view only and forced to pay €40 per night to “upgrade” to something that wasn’t clear at booking. 4. **Terrible Food**: The advertised buffet and snacks were a complete lie. The options were minimal, low-quality, and certainly not what you’d expect from a so-called five-star hotel. 5. **Hidden Fees**: I was hit with a £60 late checkout fee, something that was never communicated when I booked. 6. **Ongoing Cleanliness Issues**: Even after repeated complaints, the room remained dirty throughout my stay. The replacement bedsheets were stained and torn, and the room had mould on the walls. To make matters worse, Love Holidays' customer service was no help before, during, or after the trip. - **Another Booking Disaster**: For a separate holiday, my flight times were changed, which meant my room wouldn’t be available for the full stay. Love Holidays told me my only options were to pay more for amendments or lose all my money if I canceled. This was after I’d already paid extra for a swim-up room, which they told me wasn’t even available anymore. - **Rude Customer Service**: When I contacted them weeks before the trip to resolve this, I was treated rudely, promised callbacks that never came, and ignored when I emailed. - **Unreasonable Policies**: Every request I made to amend the booking was met with demands for more money. They closed the chat multiple times without resolving anything and sent automated emails telling me to “wait 28 days,” even though that time had passed. This was, without a doubt, the worst experience I’ve ever had with a travel company. Love Holidays misleads customers, works with subpar hotels, and has no interest in resolving complaints. Save yourself the stress and money – avoid them at all costs!

I would never book with Loveholidays again having booked with them a few times previously. Up until now I have had an okay experience with them but this time was awful. We stayed at a hotel in Mexico for five nights. The last two nights the hotel lost ALL electric and hot water so we missed dinner one evening due to there being no electric and had to get ready in the dark with our phone torches in order to go out and find somewhere else to eat. We then got back and there was no water so we couldn’t even wash and the aircon wasn’t working due to no electricity so we spend the night absolutely boiling with no water. Some guests even had to sleep outside by the pool it was so hot. The next day was no different, no electricity and I contacted loveholdiays at around 7am that morning to get moved hotel because the situation wasn’t improving and there was no estimate of when the electricity would come on again. I didn’t get a response from loveholidays for hours and had to spend most of the day sat at reception where there was the only bit of electricity to keep my phone charged and to be able to check emails awaiting loveholidays response. After chasing loveholidays multiple times and liaising with the hotel reception I finally got a move out of the hotel at around 7pm. The hotel manager said he would be refunding us for two nights due to what had happened. This was agreed in an email to myself and to loveholidays. I then contacted loveholidays on return and waited for customer services to respond to my request for the refund. Only to be told we would only be getting a refund of 10% which was £60. £30 each for me and my friend. This is not what we were told the hotel would be refunding and is certainly not the cost of two nights. I queried this with the customer service person by the name of “Yanda N” and asked to speak to a manager only to be told there was nothing that would change. I have responded to ask where the money is going that the hotel have written in an email that they will be refunding but due to the email stating their “position remains unchanged” am not expecting a response. I cannot understand how this is deemed fair when the hotel have said they will refund therefore it isn’t costing loveholidays anything? Do not book with them whatever you do. I understand the issues were nothing to do with them but how can they deny us money that the hotel has said they will refund?

Can’t even tell you about the holiday. Flight was cancelled had to go to the flight company direct. Could not sort for us then flight company just a useless. The flight company site was a pain to get a number and number provided by love holidays I couldn’t get through on. Rang multiple times to try and understand what and how to get things sorted and just wanted to pass the buck to the airline. Cancelled full holiday in the end as not willing to help us. Spent 7 hours at airport making numerous calls to sort so a wasted day and travel at the airport. I hope to get compensation for my expenses and costs for the day as I am fuming.

We booked a Rapid hotel transfer reducing the journey time from 2hrs to 40 mins. I suffer badly from IBS and need easy access to the toilet, this was the only transfer option suitable. Airport to hotel transfer was as booked, but the return was far from it. A standard coach turned up with the transfer taking over 2hrs and to make things worse we passed back by our hotel 1 hour after being picked up!! Ridiculous. The long journey time resulted in an IBS flare up & a lot of discomfort, which is why we’d booked Rapid transfer in the first place. We complained to On the Beach, heard nothing, had to chase them up & when they eventually replied it was clear they obviously didn’t care at all about the physical discomfort & suffering they caused me. If you value good customer service then steer clear of this company.

Booking was made in June for Edinburgh for the month of December 2024, My son and his girlfriend were due to go, they broke up, so my husband and i decided to go in there place , i started calling with my son present in September as he was lead he had to authorise name change, this has been on going since September we are now the 20th November, and they still haven't changed the names i have been calling and have been promised it has been done, but still not showing on booking and when i get through they tell me it still hasn't been done. They tell me they call yet the number they call me on comes up with suspected spam, then they tell me to reply to an email which you cant reply to as undeliverable message shows up. I have asked for an email , customer complaints they tell me its all done through the agents, yet they cant do basic things they have no authorisation to do anything. you have to go through an AI bot, then speak to an agent jezz i seriously am scared for humanity if the level of intelligence that goes on in this company is what we have for our future. I then get a call via a whatsapp message, telling me his from Love Hoildays and has changed the booking and details to go in my inbox and click to see the amendments, then to copy and paste and sent via the WhatsApp message ? i am not into tech i felt it off he then said it would be 100, i said no as on your company policy it states 25.00 each, but since this has been on going since September the company need to waver this charge, he told me don't go then, said he had more work to do and put the phone down. This is no customer service. This is not how companies should practice. a 1 rating is to high for this company, i want my money back full refund. you speak to the clowns on the phone they tell you something different every time The amount of times i have called the amount of time i have spent on the phone explaining myself, as i stated today I started this in September, we are now November, do i get to the airport name change hasn't been done on flights or hotel, then i have wasted 700. I will never use this company recommend it the best thing can be done if it goes down.

I had booked a holiday to Malta in January using a BA flight. The flight time was changed a few weeks after booking but I accepted that. Recently the flight was cancelled and rearranged for the next day but with no compensation for the loss of a day. My ten day holiday had suddenly become a 9 day break. To complicate matters a friend had booked the same holiday but received no notification of the cancelled flight. After a few conversations online and getting nowhere my holiday was cancelled without asking me and my money was refunded. Unfortunately my friend is struggling to get a refund as LoveHolidays claim they have not been informed of the flight changes by BA. I have used LH previously and everything was fine but not so good when things go wrong.
