Summary: We lost £200 because LoveHolidays cancelled our hotel by mistake and now won’t pay us the additional costs that caused.
I can barely begin to explain how dreadful LoveHolidays is. They cancelled our hotel booking due to an error (the hotel was open, and no travel restrictions were in place) and offered us a voucher in return - but because they cancelled it so late, there were no hotels available at the value of the voucher for those dates in that location. We had to pay extra to secure our hotel (which, again, was open without issues) and LoveHolidays have flatly refused, on multiple occasions, to reimburse us. We couldn’t even get in touch with them until after we’d returned from our holiday - no answer to emails, calls, messages on their platform, no availability of ‘Live Chat’, nothing. They didn’t even tell us directly that they’d cancelled the hotel - I had to get hold of the intermediary they booked through to find the truth about them cancelling (which they did without leaving a reason, and then lied to me by saying the intermediary cancelled).
Long story short we’re now nearly £200 out of pocket above the original cost of the holiday. Absolute disgrace, they should be ashamed of themselves. Avoid this company like the plague.
