I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others after my experience. I insured my laptop with LoveitCoverit, hoping for peace of mind in case of theft or damage. Unfortunately, my laptop was stolen just 3–4 months into the policy — and the insurance company refused to pay out, despite me providing extensive evidence and fully cooperating with their process.
Here’s what they asked for (and I provided):
Full details of where and how the laptop was stolen
A valid crime reference number
Proof of ID and address
Activation of “Lost Mode” via iCloud with their requested message
Confirmation of device security features
Screenshots from iCloud/AppleID showing the lost device and IMEI
Photos of where the laptop was stored in the vehicle
Even after fulfilling all of this, the claims handler remained unprofessional and repeatedly demanded a police report — despite the police telling me multiple times that it’s not something individuals can obtain. The police made it clear: insurance companies must request this directly through the proper channels. LoveitCoverit refused to do so, effectively blocking my claim.
They also dismissed my explanation that my neighbour (a qualified mechanic) helped reattach the car door handle that was broken into. Because I didn’t have a formal invoice, they said I had breached the terms of the policy — even though I had photographic evidence of the damage. I was also told to contact my car insurer, even though my policy doesn’t cover contents — which is precisely why I took out separate laptop insurance in the first place.
When I asked for help on how to resolve the police report issue, I was simply told, “Sorry, I can’t help you.” This is not the service you expect from an insurance provider.
This whole experience has left me feeling completely let down. Someone stole my laptop, and now the insurance company has essentially taken my money too. I feel like I’ve been scammed.
Before you buy from LoveitCoverit, I strongly encourage you to search through other reviews using terms like “claim,” “theft,” or “stolen.” You’ll see a pattern — they’re very efficient at taking your money, but make it extremely difficult to get support when you actually need it.
And just to be clear: I am a genuine customer. I’ve seen how this company responds to other negative reviews with, “Sorry, we can’t find your policy,” or tries to discredit people as not verified. That won’t work here.
