If you request a price to install an interior door, make sure you know what you are getting. We needed one new raised panel door installed. The employee said it should cost around $150. Kind of high, but we just did not want to tackle this one. We paid $35 for the measurement, which would offset the installation cost. Fair enough. The contractor came the next day (really fast). We get a call from Lowes two days later to say the installation cost would be $300 plus some incidentals. We went up there to go over why it was so high. Turns out the contractor's base price is $300 for 1 to 2 doors. If we had two doors to be installed, that would have been right on the money. His price covered two doors, even if you only needed one installed. Somewhere on this good green earth, there might be logic to that, but I don't see it. Thanks but no thanks.
