One of the most gut wrenching, frustrating experiences I have ever had with a company.
Lowe’s uses a separate delivery service to deliver your items; & they hide behind each other.
I purchased a refrigerator. The delivery team moved my entertainment center (on wood floors) without my knowledge.
They took out the old one & brought in the new one. Made connections for water for the fridge; told me I just had to remove the plastic & tape; & he said “put a “W” here for water & “I” for ice & left.
After the fact I learned that the delivery people were supposed to remove the plates & the tape, but did not.
It was after I removed tape, etc. & put items back in the fridge that I discovered the gouges in the floor.
I called to complain. When the mover came, I provided “cushions” to put under the entertainment center to avoid further damage.
Five days later I discovered water coming from under the fridge & pooling in front of the fridge.
I called Lowe’s & they sent someone out who showed up at my door with a wrench in hand. He said he didn’t see any damage to the floor.
For 7 months I have been doing everything they asked to resolve this issue. After finally reaching the point where I satisfied all their requirements, they decided to switch plans & turn it over to their adjusters.
Just as an aside, I was about a week out from having a total knee replacement.
In my experience, they don’t use moral or ethical business practices.
BUYER BEWARE IN DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM.
