A bit of a 'leap of faith' to buy a £500 vacuum. It has, in my opinion, been optimised as an upright cleaner, with the convenience of battery operation , in which function it does very well. I have an older, Victorian, house, all carpeted, it can do all the house, including stairs on 1 charge as minimum power level does fine. The head has "ground effect" to maximise the suction in the cleaning area. The tools are a bit of a disappointment for me, they don't work very well at height as the angle is 'straight' and are poor for doing tops of curtains. The extension of the hose plus the handle feel awkward, especially as the hose has a fair bit of self retraction 'pull' which one has to fight against. In my opinion a cleaning tool with a 45 degree angle is necessary, or an adaptor to allow other tools to be used.
