So far, we are very impressed with our Lupe vacuum cleaner. I love the idea that parts can be replaced easily, rather than having to replace the whole machine. There does seem to be a learning curve, I've started to see. Figuring out how best to hold the machine in its handheld configuration so that the controls are easily accessed by one hand took a little exploring. I feel that the flexible tube could be just a bit longer for comfort. I was a little underwhelmed by the vacuum power, especially on rugs, until I tried the high setting, at which point it was amazing. The lovely stormtrooper white plastic gets dirty very quickly--I'm not sure how to avoid that. I found the vacuum a bit hard to maneuver when used in its upright setting--it took some experimenting and learning to use wrist power, along with understanding how it turns and moves, but I feel that with use, I will find that it works great overall. I was underwhelmed by its performance on edges, and swapping out to use the handheld tools doesn't seem as fast and easy as on my old Kenmore canister vacuum. Overall, I wouldn't return this, nor do I regret the purchase. But I'm not convinced that it does a great job of replacing a smaller hand-held for, say, kitchen use, or of doing a better job than my old canister vacuum. I'm impressed, but there's some room for improvement.
