I have two, long-hair Maine Coon cats. The hair gets tangled in the brush roller much more than I anticipated. Hair tangles were not an issue with my old Dyson which has since departed the scene. If I had it to do over, I'd get the Dyson V15. Worse, the hairs gets sucked into the dirt box and get pulled all the way to the top of the bin where it is impossible to get out without running water through the dust bin. The hair simply wraps around the top of whatever is in there and stays put. So cleaning it involves an extra water step. No such issue with the Dyson.
