Best compromise between cost and closeness - usually use it.
But -
1/ number plate recognition system didn't recognise our pre-paid booking, so we were threatened with £zillions on the way out. Quickly solved by courteous staff, but still an hassle.
2/ paucity of direction signs to the exit left us doing an unneccessary tour of the car park.
