It took us ages to find a space, which was right at the back of the car park and quite a long walk to the nearest bus stop. No problems with either bus transfer, which were excellent.
As an aside, I think the policy of charging to drop people off (and using a camera car to check it) is outrageous, to such an extent that it would discourage me from using Luton if I had a choice. It's like Luton is becoming the Ryan Air of airports.
