They did not make me happy.
Today I was in the Goldhawk Road branch of Majestic to buy some wine.
It’s not a large place and you can hear staff asking customers if they need any help, however I was ignored.
After about 20 minutes of walking around looking at different wines I had made my selection and headed to the counter to pay.
The manager, I don’t his name, bushy curly haired man, then asked if I was ok or needed any help. He had stood beside me 15 minutes earlier, and asked 20 minutes after he first saw me!
I politely mentioned I had been enjoying the music.
I them noticed a bottle of Marlborough Pinot noir in the tasting section and asked if it was open.
I had several Pinot noirs in my basket selection. He replied it was and so I went to pour a glass. I accidentally poured more than a taste, less than a small glass, perhaps 75ml not 25 ml and he coldly and rudely told me to pour some back into the bottle after I had tasted it. I thought he was joking and said imagine if people did that as it sounded disgusting to put wine back into a bottle after being tasted. He said he would! Ugh!
He basically belittled me in trying to say I poured a glass to drink and nor a taster!
How embarrassing in front of other customers!
I have been going to this branch for 10 years or more and have never been treated like this before.
I left without purchasing my selection, and he smirked as I left! The Manager has no customer service skills apart from thank you for your money!
So in essence, I will not shop there again, and will add this to any reviews I can!
