I first tried Pinot Blanc in a wine bar in Covent Garden back in 1990 and was introduced to it by a lovely Turkish girl called Fisun. We chatted and sipped the wine over two hours without food and it was memorable. Majestic have a stand alone wine in their Alsace (Chosen by Majestic) which is a perfect to just that. Properly chilled it's dry, fruity and a wonderful partner to good company. Put that on the bottle and leave the Asian food recommendation to the Gewürz of the region which are better suited.
