My dog has a double coat and one of them is like wire wool! Over the years, we have spent a small fortune on cheaper clippers. Some never worked, some worked for a short while. These masterclip clippers were eye-opening. Yes, they cost more than 3X the most expensive alternative; but they run and run and go through my dog's awkward fur like a hot knife through butter! An hour long job (if it worked at all) now takes 10 minutes. Yes! JUST TEN! You need strong hands to change the blades, but that is the ONLY downside.
