“I have only used them once but was satisfied that they are a good purchase. Hopefully when I have got the hang of using them the rating could go up. My pet dog was very relaxed throughout our first trimming adventure and I'm certain the low-noise of the trimmers helped, so far so good.”

“These clippers are amazing. They have literally saved us hours when trimming our two cocker spaniels. Previously we have used barbers clippers and scissors to cut their fur but they simply clog up because of the shear volume of fine fluffy hair. The Master clippers glide through… no clogging and no fuss. I wish that we had bought these years ago!”

It is great to hear that you are happy with your new clippers and if they are getting a bit warm you need to try running it on a looser tension and also spraying it with Andis blade spray or using clipper oil every 5 mins whilts you are clipping. It is certainly not a fault we have come across so we need to chat if it continues. “Bought for a springer spaniel used them with the attachments awesome bit of kit would definitely recommend anyone needing a decent set of clippers for a dog go with these I’ve tried other makes like wahl and they’re not up to the job but these ones are”

As with all clippers they work best if they are well lubricated with clipper oil or spray every 3-5 mins whilst in use. Also the amount of coat preparation you do is important as they clippers don't have quite so much work to do. “Bought as I have no electric at the field Arrived charged and ready to go Good instructions on how to use Seems like a great product with 2 batteries, managed to clip a horse with one battery It was the first time we have clipped and the clippers did get quite warm and you have to wait for them to cool down but I think this is the same for all clippers Also got the trimmers which are excellent Handy case to keep everything together Overall very pleased”

You can try loosening the tension a tad so the blades run a bit looser and also you really need to be using plenty of oil or blade spray in the holes and on the blades when you are clipping. “Showmate II trimmers are fantastic, can trim dense fluffy cocker spaniel feel with ease. Adjustable length blades are very useful for that precision finish and comb attachments add further variety to the length of clip you can get. 10/10 Masterclip ✔”
