“Very good and quick delivery. Works well but be carefully when putting the cutter blade back after cleaning as it must be in the same position as before. It is not a positive fit and trying to put the screws in whilst holding the blade in position is fiddly. You will know if it is wrong aS it will not cut.”

With regard to the cutter blade positioning; we don't recommend taking the blade apart as the screws set the tension on the blades and as you have found be very tricky to re-set. Instead of removing the cutter you can just slide it across and clean with a brush and oil both sides. “Clippers work well, masterclip good company. However Royal mail delivered parcel to wrong address. Customer service at Masterclip offered to send replacement without waiting for Royal mail to investigate.”

“Overall very impressed with these clippers. Received on Thursday and have clipped my shedding easy-clip cockapoo, and have clipped my bone-shed fleece fur cockapoo who was way overdue a clip. The lowest grade got right under any batting that brushing couldn’t get to. My one concern is how hot the clippers have gotten. A little irritating having to clip them in very short bursts as they were not happy with the heat on them.”

As with all clippers they work best if they are well lubricated with clipper oil or spray every 3-5 mins whilst in use. Doing this generally dissipates any heat caused by blade friction. The Andis 5 in 1 coolant spray is brilliant for this. We sell hundreds of dog clippers every year and have not experienced the cable fail so I am at a bit of a loss to explain why it has happened to you other than you maybe use the clippers more often than most. If we see a fault emerging we work hard to rectify it but in this instance we have not had any bad feedback re the cables. “I was very impressed when they called to make sure they had the correct address. The product is well presented and seems to work well. Not to loud when using it so my dog was not stressed.”

“These clippers are brilliant for clipping my sensitive cob's legs. I have to clip every 3 weeks due to sallenders and mallenders and due to mistreatment in the past, she is particularly sensitive around her legs. These clippers are relatively quiet and cut through her thick wiry hair easily. The only down side is that they get hot very quickly so I have cooling spray at hand and occasionally hairs have got between the blades and jammed them so I now have a spare blade as well. Excellent customer service when I contacted them for advice too!”

“Sent clippers back as stopped working. Asked them to communicate expenses with me before doing work. They unfortunately didn’t and just cracked on with the work. The cost came to not far off the same amount as a brand new pair. Disappointed in the lack of communication. After raising this issue with an engineer (Jed I think his name was) he sorted the problem and couldn’t be more apologetic, especially as the clippers were barely used and only 2 years old. I’d give them 2 starts for lack of communication, however Jed was brilliant so 4stars.”

“Have never used a nail clipper before, only a grinder which i think is making my dog's nails break :( Clippers are easy to hold and use, and cut the nail cleanly and easily. Fast shipping! Took a star off as would be very useful to have photo instruction on how to use - i had to google random videos!!”

“I have only used them once but was satisfied that they are a good purchase. Hopefully when I have got the hang of using them the rating could go up. My pet dog was very relaxed throughout our first trimming adventure and I'm certain the low-noise of the trimmers helped, so far so good.”

“Sturdy clippers. Charged both batteries up both showed green on charger but 1 would not work in clippers. I called Masterclip customer service to clarify if battery was under warranty. It was and replacement battery arrived 2 days later, first class service.”

Hi Paula, The blades will produce some heat due to the friction of the metal comb and cutter running together at speed and the higher the ambient temperature the hotter the blades will feel. We recommend oiling the blade with clipper oil or the andis 5 in 1 coolant spray every 3 to 4 minutes whilst you clip and this lubrication should reduce any heat produced. “Very good clippers and I'm glad I opted for a professional set over cheaper sets available. You can see the quality in the cut and they glide through my dog's hair without catching. They are a little heavy and louder than expected, but I'm sure both my cockerpoo and I will soon get used to them.”

The professional clippers are a little more powerful than cheaper clippers which might be why they sound a little louder than you were expecting. Cockerpoo's have such curly coats and you need to power to get through the density of coat.
