The survey of the house I bought was full of caution and pessimism, I cried and felt desolate on receiving it. Yet I went ahead with the purchase about 9 months ago. An experienced friend said I should ignore the dire bullet points and that a lot of what this survey was doing was covering its own back in case of serious issues, which might or might not arise. So in this respect I did not find tube survey helpful, just depressing and not really separating the wood form the trees, so to speak, making it pretty useless for someone like myself, ie not conversant with all the technical stuff. Perhaps any survey would have been similar.
